Travis C. Jennings Scholarship

This scholarship is an achievement-based award designed to support The Harvest Tabernacle Church high school seniors transitioning into their freshman year of college.

How to Submit: All applications must be submitted digitally via our online form, emailed to ththypeblast@gmail.com or submitted in person to a scholarship personnel. Please ensure all required attachments (essay, transcripts, and letters of recommendation) are submitted together.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Travis C. Jennings Academic Scholarship Program is an achievement-based award designed to support The Harvest Tabernacle Church high school seniors in the State of Georgia transitioning into their freshman year of college.

• Essay: As a core requirement for your scholarship application, all applicants must submit a 500 word essay 

• Selection Process: The Scholarship Panel will review all submitted application packets and select three (3) finalists to advance to a formal interview.

• Recommendation Letters: Applicants must submit three (3) letters of recommendation. At least one (1) letter must come from a ministry leader, and at least (1) letter must come from a non-related external reference (such as a teacher, guidance counselor, or community leader). 

• Award Distribution Requirement: The selected recipient must provide an official acceptance letter from an accredited post-secondary educational institution prior to receiving the scholarship.

• The Award: One (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to a high school senior who is a dedicated member/partner of The Harvest Tabernacle Church.

• Application Deadline: All required components must be fully submitted no later than May 22, 2026. Late applications will not be reviewed

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must fully meet the following criteria at the time of application:

• Must be a current high school senior attending school in the State of Georgia at the time of the application.

• Anticipating the receipt of a high school diploma for the 2026 academic year.

• Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution (College, University, or Trade School) as an incoming freshman.

• Carrying a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA (verified as of your spring progress report/transcript).

• Must be an active Partner of The Harvest Tabernacle Church (having successfully completed the new member package on file).

• Must be a recipient of an official acceptance letter from an accredited post-secondary institution at the time the Scholarship is awarded.

Applicants who are already in college or have graduated high school are not eligible.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Ensure your submission includes all of the following items in a single upload:

• Official High School Transcript (Showing a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA)

• Proof of Post-Secondary Enrollment (Official college acceptance letter)

• 500-Word Essay 

• Three (3) Letters of Recommendation (1 from a ministry leader, 2 from community/academic leaders)

• Completed Data Sheet (Signed by both the applicant and parent/guardian)
