CHURCH HISTORY
In the year 2000, Pastor Travis Jennings was led of the Lord in consecration and prayer. While in prayer, the Lord gave him a vision: he found himself in the midst of a golden harvest field. The Lord told him to throw out a rope and to gather the harvest together. But the burden was too heavy to carry alone; immediately his wife joined him at his side to carry the harvest. When the Lord brought Pastor Jennings out of the vision He told him to “Gather the End-Time Harvest” and to call the ministry The Harvest Tabernacle.
Pastor Jennings immediately began to seek God, and he was instructed to start a Bible Study in his home. On Labor Day of 2000, Pastor Jennings and his wife went door-to-door to begin “Gathering the End-Time Harvest”. The ministry began with 7 souls and quickly outgrew the space in his home. Pastor Jennings was later led to La Quinta Inn in Stone Mountain, GA where The Harvest Tabernacle held its first Sunday Worship Service in February 2001. God brought rapid growth into the ministry, miracles took place, and people eagerly became doers of the Word.
On New Years’ Eve 2002, the Lord gave Pastor Jennings a prophetic word for the church. He told the church that by June they would have their own building. In May 2002, God opened the door for The Harvest Tabernacle’s first edifice. From this edifice the ministry launched its first internet website and held its first live television broadcast to reach the nation and the world in our endeavor to Gather The End-Time Harvest.
On New Year’s Eve 2006, we went into our new worship edifice located in the city of Lithonia, GA. God blessed us with 7.0 acres of land, 3.5 acres are developed, 2 buildings on the property, the sanctuary seats about 500 hundred, and Child Care facility.
